NEW YORK — A Las Vegas casino is opening in Alabama, a new development that will offer a new way to gamble in the state with a casino in the middle of a city.
New Orleans casino developer, the Sands Group, said it will open the casino in Alabamians heartland in 2020.
Alabamian lawmakers will decide on a casino this year.
It is unclear how much the state would pay for the casino, which is the second in the region to open.
Sands Group has a $25 billion development plan for the Alabaman capital.
Its casino, on the waterfront of downtown Alabama City, is expected to have a seating capacity of more than 30,000.
