Two NRL players have been charged with a crime after allegedly throwing their opponent’s helmet to the ground at a Newcastle-based casino last night.

The Newcastle Magpies have been told they have one game remaining against the Dragons, while the Warriors are still yet to play a game.

The two players face the NRL charge of illegal play, with the NRL Players Association (NPPA) recommending a fine of $1,000.
